Schalan Gives Us Her Expert Color Tips
Personal Touch Salon Owner, Schalan is giving us the rundown on how she does the perfect hair color service for her clients. First, to color her client's "wisdom highlights" Schalan will utilize the Color Chocolate Series, as well as, the new Syncro Soft Lightener and Crema XG. The Syncro Soft contains shea and can lift hair color up seven levels! Schalan loves this product because it feels super creamy and leaves your hair feeling incredibly conditioned. She starts mixing her color in small equal ratios, 1 oz. SS and 1 oz. 20 Cream XG. The two products mix together in a luxurious frosting-style consistency. Next, for her client's base color, she uses the Color Chocolate Series, and mixes equal parts 8CH (.5 oz) and 7N (.5 oz) and then she adds 20 Cream. Schalan says you can mix this with cream or clear, but for grey coverage she likes to Cream to condition a little more. She applies color and lightener and then lets it set in.
After shampooing, Schalan applies a little more Crema XG (two parts 10PA and one part 8PA) to help neutralize any yellow or oranges hues to a much cooler tone. Schalan also lets us know she really is loving the Crema XG, while it is ammonia free, it's still tone to tone to the Color XG. She tells us that she mixes equal parts again for toning. When Schalan tones, she outlines and defines first, it helps her speed up the process.
After touchups, we see the client's perfect color! Schalan also shows us the shampoo/conditioning products she used which are from Paul Mitchell's newest line called Clean Beauty. Schalan chose these products because they make your hair so soft and silky! She also raves about the anti-frizz product from the Clean Beauty line because it keeps hair bouncy and light.

Schalan Shares Her Morning Hair Routine
In today's video, Personal Touch Salon Owner, Schalan walks us through her morning routine. She shows us how to achieve quick and perfectly styled curls for a natural, every-day look.
First, Schalan sprays Paul Mitchell Dry Wash in sections directly at her roots and then brushes it through. Schalan tells us that the Dry Wash absorbs excess oil and helps your hair feel clean and fresh. Schalan uses the Paul Mitchell Pro Clips to section off her hair from top to bottom to prep for styling. Just before curling, Schalan adds Paul Mitchell's Hot Off The Press thermal protectant to prevent against heat damage. Next, she wraps small pieces of her hair around her Paul Mitchell 3-in-1 Styling Wand with .25 inch barrel. After working the wand throughout her hair, Schalan sprays Paul Mitchell's Stay Strong hair spray. This hair spray provides amazing hold without stiffness or yucky buildup and fights against the brutal San Antonio humidity.
Schalan proceeds to curl the rest of her hair the same way and then breaks up her freshly styled curls with her fingers and then applies Paul Mitchell's Undone Texture spray to give it that lived-in trendy aesthetic. She gives her hair one last run through with her fingers and finishes her look with Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Serum to boost shine and combat frizz.

Leigha Shows Us How To Style Coveted Beachy Waves
Leigha is using Paul Mitchell's Express Ion Unclipped 3-in-1 Curling Iron to create loose beach waves in her daughter's hair. She first begins by dividing the hair from top to bottom in three sections. Then, she applies Neuro Style Protect spray which helps protect the hair from heat while providing shine, hold and humidity control. Next, Leigha wraps small strands around the styling wand to create long loose waves. *Pro-Tip: Leigha lets the curls sit untouched for 1.5 mins. After that, she gives one final spray of the Neuro Style Protect, then adds a small pump of Awapuhi Wild Ginger Styling Treatment Oil to her hands and then combs her fingers through the curls to finish it off.
