I recently had the pleasure of visiting Personal Touch Salon, and I can say that it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! My stylist, Kaylee, took the time to talk with me and really get to know what I was wanting with my hair. She was welcoming, friendly, and knew what she was doing. Teyona always makes me feel fabulous. She’s extremely knowledgeable and caring - not only with my hair, but with me too! She makes sure she understands my expectations, talks me through the process and lets me know if we need to adjust anything along the way. She’s really talented in maintaining my blonde and making sure I’m able to express myself with peek-a-boo color as well! 🙌🏼 Everyone at the shop is also welcoming and you can tell they operate by an elite standard of care. I scheduled an appointment with Leigha today, and I love the results! She, like Schalan and the other stylists, was very friendly and knowledgeable. The customer service is top notch and I love that all of the stylist there stay on top of their training and always know the latest techniques and color applications. Schalan is the owner and an educator for Paul Mitchell, so she is passionate about not only teaching others, but being at the forefront of what options are out there for her clients. Great salon! I've been coming to Schalan for about 2 years now. As a girl with lots of curly hair, I'm very particular about my hairstylists. Curly hair can be tricky, but Schalan knows it and always gives me a perfect style-Exactly what I want every time. The salon keeps excellent records, and regardless of how long I go between cuts, they pick up right where we left off. They offer a full range of services and are great for everything from a quick trim, to Brazilian blowouts, too flashy, fashion forward options. They offer a rebooking discount program and other monthly specials for their Brazilian blowout that makes it a little more affordable. That's next on my to do list for sure! This salon is fabulous in every way. Schalan, the owner/head stylist and Yonna a are extremely knowledge on all new techniques and styles. They both will give one a honest opinion on what will work and what will not work. By the way, customer service is excellent. They both cater to their guests every need. I was in the area, had time to kill, seeing an open sign in the window I decided to get my hair cut. Schalan was very cordial and cut my hair rather quickly. She was telling me about her new salon, how she has hired a young lady who's almost licensed and how she wants to give her a chance to develop and grow, just as she herself was given a chance 5 years ago . Schalan's attitude struck me to write this review....still killing time. Sounds like her salon does every kind of service out there. Oh my hair came out great, pretty basic , but some of the salons in Austin have a hard time blending the top (longer hair) to my sides (very short) with out looking squared. Price was reasonable enough that I left a larger than normal tip yet paying less overall than the few I go to in Austin. - Barry B.

Schalan and Personal Touch Salon are wonderful! I've been coming to Schalan for about three years or more. She's so friendly, knowledgeable, and always very accommodating with evening appointments. She does beautiful color, and she's helped me gradually change my shade from coppery red to golden brown. I love her work and wouldn't consider letting anyone else color my hair.
